CULTIVATING GRATITUDE:

A MOM & CHILD YOGA & MINDFULNESS MINI RETREAT

With Jaclyn Long & Jenny Ward

Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 1 to 4pm

St. Mark’s Church – Parish Hall

600 Colorado Ave, Palo Alto

Cultivate gratitude together with your kids. Join us for an enriching day of family friendly mind-body practices in this season of giving thanks. Devote some luxurious time to nourishing your connection with your children, as we empower them with a gratitude mind-set that they can carry around with them their entire lives!

Our skilled facilitators will guide you and your kids through a variety of mindfulness and gratitude practices. Some of these practices will be very quiet and inward, some will be touching and sweet, and others will be playful, light and fun!

Together, you and your children will have the opportunity to learn:

  • SILENT: A gratitude practice
  • Mindful breathing & meditation
  • Mindful yoga
  • Mindful walking
  • Mindful listening
  • Mindful dance and movement

Then, you will have an opportunity to deepen your gratitude practice on your own as Jaclyn Long leads you through mindfulness-based gentle yoga, while your children explore Peace and Play with Jenny Ward. On their own, your children will learn tools to build:

  • Compassion and empathy (for others and ourselves)
  • Inner compass – learning to trust our inner voice before seeking outer approval
  • Creativity and the importance of laughter
  • Emotional flexibility and agility – learning to use our emotions as tools for learning and growth
  • Connection to ourselves, our loved ones, our community and our world

This retreat is designed for you & your kids ages 5-12 years old.
