CLEANSING & RENEWAL:
A New Year’s Day Workshop with Jackie Long

New Year's Day

Welcome in the New Year by re-establishing your commitment to opening your heart, calming your mind, nourishing your body and renewing your spirit! Attend this invigorating yoga class to cleanse your mind and reinstate your focus; to shed your attachments and awaken your visions; to purify your body and reconnect with your spirit. This workshop will begin with a guided meditation to help you clarify your intentions for the New Year, followed by some gentle movements to awaken your body, active sun salutations and flow sequences to circulate blood and lymph, balance poses to sharpen your concentration, restorative and/or yin poses to heal your joints, and deep relaxation to revitalize your nervous system. There will be time for reflection throughout the class, so feel free to bring a journal (this is optional since paper will be provided) in order to capture insights and articulate intentions. Beginners are welcome and encouraged.
